Licensing your pet is one of the most important steps you can take as a responsible pet owner. Having your pet licensed makes it easy for animal control officers, police officers, shelters, and veterinary employees to quickly locate a pet’s owner information and to confirm they have current rabies shots! A license is your pet’s ticket home!

Please remember that all pet licenses are valid for the calendar year and expire on December 31. Keep an eye on your mailbox for a notice from PetData! Visit for more information.

The Clerks Office requires a current rabies vaccine. For a new pet, please show the pet is neutered or spayed. If you choose not to alter your pet, there is an additional fee of $25.
